OTTAWA TO HOST 2017 CANADIAN PACIFIC WOMEN’S OPEN AS CANADA CELEBRATES 150 YEARS

For the fourth time, the stars of the LPGA Tour will light up the nation’s capital as Golf Canada and Canadian Pacific announced the 2017 CP Women’s Open will return to Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club August 21-27, 2017 to coincide with Canada’s 150 year celebration.

The world’s best golfers are expected to be in attendance to compete for the $2.25 million USD purse - one of the highest on the LPGA Tour.

Through its CP Has Heart campaign, CP will once again make a significant donation to the host community by making The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) the official beneficiary of the tournament. All funds raised through the 2017 CP Women’s Open will support pediatric cardiology at CHEO and CP will generously match all donations made at CHEOHEART.COM until August 27, 2017.

As the National Sport Federation (NSF) and governing body for golf in this country, Golf Canada’s mission is to promote participation in and a passion for the game while protecting its traditions and integrity. We hope you enjoy this great championship and leave with an increased affection for the unique spirit of integrity, sportsmanship and fellowship that make golf the greatest game on earth.
